My Peach...

I am in my 2nd trimester! Yeahhh!!!!!
We are at week 14 already...crazy!
The baby:
- It's face is still developing. It's eyes and ears are moving into place!
- The big thing this week is the fine hair that is growing around the baby. It is called lanugo.
- The baby now has eyebrows but still no eyelashes.
- The baby can see light...but it's eyes are not yet open.
- It now has fingerprints! That is so amazing to me. I read that the baby made them itself by swimming around in the amniotic fluid.
- It is practicing muscle control. I can't feel the kicks yet...though sometimes I think I do! LOL...it's probably me just excited to feel it! :)
- It is about the length of a flip phone!
The Momma:
- Feeling great!
- Not sure if it's because its summer break...but I have my energy back! I can now stay up past 7:00!
- Have now graduated from using a rubber band...to now Bella Bands! They are my best friend right now! :)
- Besides my belly growing...2 other things are too! Which is very different for me! In my family...we don't have much...but man this is a change! I have to keep reminding Chris where my eyes are!
- Some cravings I have had are: home cooking...mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, catfish, cream corn...and still MILK! The other night...Chris got tickled at me because I had a HUGE cup of milk from Dickey's BBQ!!!

- We are SO excited to find out what the baby is. I can't wait to start to shop! I am seeing all these cute pearl snap shirts...plaid shorts...polo shirts...bows...dresses...sandals! I WANT TO KNOW!!!!! :):):)

I have been getting text to see my belly...so here are some pictures we took last week...

Dane Date...

On our cruise we were sitting eating lunch the first day on the ship. We ran into one of my sorority sisters that we haven't seen for 4 or 5 years! Such a small world!
This is Lauren...her and her husband, Clint, were on their honeymoon! After chatting with them we found out they have a house right across the highway from Chris and I. AND they have 2 great danes! So of course we had tons to talk about and pictures to share! Crazy how the Lord takes friends out of your life for a season and THEN puts new ones in your life...
We went over to Clint and Lauren's for a dane date. It was hilarious...Teague is usually the dog that is all hyper and annoying the other dogs. But since Teague is the baby still...he had it coming to him...and it was great!
This is Stevie...she is, I think, one and a half. Lauren and Clint think that Teague is going to be a big boy...because he is only 7 months and just a hair smaller than Ms. Stevie!

After going to the park...the dogs warmed up to each other. They played and played! Teague has never been around another dane...and never a girl dane! So he was in heaven! For about 2 minutes the dogs decided to take a rest...and then they were up again playing! Clint and Lauren use "clicker training" with their danes! It is amazing the things they have them doing. Stevie can open their back door with the sock that is tied on the door handle! It is SO cool...and of course Chris is now determined to teach our T-Man the same thing!

Here is Clint using the clicker to show us how it works...I love Stevie in this picture. She is so cute with her tongue out and ears up! Such a sweetie! And our Teague is thinking...seriously dude just give me that treat!

Here is precious lady Cadance! She is 8...which is amazing because danes life span is not long at all. Just goes to show...Ms.Cadance has a good mommy and daddy! Cadance was so cute...she would let the puppies play as she sat and looked pretty!
And since Callie Rae was in the Land Of Giants...she found something a little more her size. She was cracking us up...because she cornered Lauren's cat under the table. Callie has never been this close to a cat...so she was hilarious trying to figure out what it was!
We had a blast with Clint, Lauren, Stevie, and Cadance!
So nice to be around other dane people...and now that Teague has a girlfriend, I'm sure we will be seeing more of them!

All this BABYmoon...made me think of the HONEYmoon...

Here are pictures of Chris and I on our honeymoon in the Bahamas...almost 4 years ago!
I remember this day...we were so excited to be there the first 3 days we did NOTHING besides sleep and lay out!
This day we went a private island...it was great besides sand fleas! What I remember most about this day...is that I had TONS of bites on me...that itched like crazy! We had to go me some Cortizone and it ended up costing $17...but I didn't care! It was horrible!
Before I was eaten...And that afternoon...I guess I was just SO sweet! Chris was smart...and just stayed in the water the whole day and didn't get ONE bite on him. Plus he was Mr. Discovery Channel back then too! Here he is giving me a lesson on the starfish he saw...

This day was interesting too...we were getting ready to do the little submarine you ride like a bike...

This is right before I pressed the wrong button on my "bike" and got real sick UNDER water! Instead of pressing the button to go lower, I pressed the button that took me quickly to the surface! So with the quick pressure changes I got SO sick..and had a school of fish behind me getting some lunch! GROSS!

We loved our resort...everything was all inclusive! So we just sat down...ordered...ate...and left!I just love this picture! I miss my long hair...This was our first night on the resort...it was wonderful...I remember grabbing some drinks and laying on a hammock listening to the ocean...loved it! We saw this cool chair when we were at the Atlantis Resort...This picture makes me miss my hair some bad...CAN'T wait for it grow out! Notice that Big Boy Chris is not sitting by the window...fun fact about him...he HATES to fly...and is SO scared of heights! Hilarious...

So fun...can't believe this December will be 4 years! Hard to believe!

Cozumel

Cozumel, Mexico...one word...HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This day...was....ummm....different...fun...but different!
Here we are about to walk to the gates to go into the town...the start of our day...First place was to learn about the Mayan Ruins. Besides Chris being Mr. Discovery Channel...he is also a history buff. Loves history! So he talked me into walking about this village where the Mayans were...to me though...it just looked like a much of rocks!
Here is Chris listening and learning...it was cracking me up...he looked such much like a tourist...the back pack and camera! Hilarious! So while he was learning...and I was laughing and making fun of him! LOL!
Chris would tell me what the places were when he would take my picture...all I would do is say...cool Babe! But I was really thinking...is this over yet!?!?!?
Fake smile...Not kidding...this is what EVERYTHING looked like...rocks...but Chris loved it...so I tried to keep a smile on...Our guide...walked us seriously ALL over that place! And then we would stand in the sun...while he talked for about 30 minutes at each stop. I was so hot...and by this time, even History Buff Chris was ready to cool off! Chris decided to make a 2 mile walk to a Mayan Pyramid! Which okay...that would be cool to see. We got there and this is what we saw...a house! The end...just a rock house! I was just the photographer my this time...wanting something cool to drink...and some shade! Making the long...hot...sunny....walk back...I was not happy! Finally after the Mayan Ruins...some nachos...a orange soda( we did not drink the water, even though the locals blamed the sickness people get in Mexico on the Tequila, I still wasn't going to drink it)...and the beach...I was back in my element!
On our way back to the ship we stopped and looked in some shops...

We stopped and took some pictures...Chris with his "want-a-be" BIG GUNS! So I love the song that Justin Timberlake sings...it will all come back around! I say that all the time...no need to try to get back at people because it will all come back around to them! Well...with a full day of making of fun Chris...it all came back around for Chris to have the laugh! There was this birthday cake...that was beside the big guns. Without looking at it...and thinking it just said happy birthday I jumped in for a picture! When we got back on the ship and were going through the pictures for the day...we came to the cake picture! I was so embarrassed that Chris played a joke and had me take a picture in this cake...because I then read what the cake said! No wonder he was cracking up at me...seriously never clicked with me! Everything ALWAYS comes back around! And lesson learned: ALWAYS read the props you are using before putting them in a picture with you! Last long walk back to the ship...

Finally back to our home away from home...
Though the day in Cozumel was hot...had long walks...learned way to much about the Mayan Ruins that I ever really wanted to know...Chris and I had some good laughs...and made some fun memories!

Caymen Islands

DAY 2...Caymen Islands...our most favorite day of the whole trip!
Caymen Islands was so beautiful Chris and I promised each other we would come back there and stay for a week! The water was so pretty it looked like a swimming pool! The people and the towns were very clean! It was a great day!
Got on another bus...with AC...to go to our first destination...to swim with stingrays!
We got on a boat that took us to a sandbar...I loved this guys hair...
Once we got to the sandbar the stingrays started coming around. They were HUGE! And there were SO MANY. And of course my "Mr. Discovery Channel" himself...had to be the first one in!But this Momma stayed on the boat and sipped on Kool-Aid! The stingrays were SO big...which made Chris actually kidda nervous...and if don't know Chris he is SO LAID back...so when he gets nervous...you can imagine how it makes me feel! But then everyone on the boat got into the water...so I decided to give it try! I thought if I stayed at the ladder by the boat I would be safe. Well, I soon as my little toes got in the water and felt the sand...this big Momma Ray swam by my leg...it felt like slime...and plus it scared me...I was looking the other way...then BAM one was swimming at my ankles. I jumped and was seriously riding on Chris's back the rest of the time we were on the sandbar! We had a water camera...so when those pictures come in we will have to get them on here...I'm sure they are hilarious!

After our experience with rays we went to a turtle farm. Which at first Chris and I thought it was going to be very corny and for kids...to our surprise...it was SO MUCH FUN!

These turtles were HUGE!These are between 70-80 years old...

Then we went to see the babies...these little guys are 4-6 weeks old. They would get nervous and flap their little flippers...and to calm them down you rubbed under their chin. It was so cute!
Again...Mr. Discovery Channel loving his little turtle. He could have gave everyone a lesson himself instead of listening the tour guide! LOL...I'm serious... And of course the one pick up...does not like it ONE bit that he is out of the water. So in this picture I am trying not to drop him...because his little flippers were going crazy! To end of our day...we went to walk around the town...we saw this building...that we thought was pretty awesome to see!One thing we did find in town was a DQ...so of course we stopped to get our usual...Chris a dip cone...and for me a Oreo Blizzard!
Such a great day in the Caymen Islands...we will defiantly be going back! Anyone want to go with us? :)
